As a Birmingham Wedding Photographer I naturally spend a lot of times at key city centre locations and my favourite is always Villa Park

Having been a fan of the Villa since a young child, I have many fond memories of standing on the terraces with my dad ( in the days when of course you could stand at a football stadium )

These days trips to Villa are normally for marketing purposes or for shooting weddings / corporate functions.

As a venue Villa Park has so much to offer potential brides and grooms – the facilities really are excellent, the function rooms are brilliant and the staff at villa park can never do enough to help you and make your day very special. The real plus for any Villa fan is the chance to go down and be photographed pitchside and, walk through the players tunnel and even be shot in the dressing room with the players shirts as a backdrop – a once in a lifetime opportunity

For me though on this occasion – I was actually going to watch a match – doesn’t happen much these days, weddings have a habit of clashing with weekend home fixtures…..strange that

On this occasion though, the chance to go to the boxing day home game with the kids was a real treat

All I can say though, is the facilities at Villa park are a damn site better than the performance on the pitch I witnessed on my rare trip down lol
