Wedding Photography Solihull
So for our first wedding of 2018 we are Solihull bound today, a pretty regular venue on the circuit for us.
We’d like to give our best wishes to Michelle and Paul as they tie the knot today, hoping the weather stays dry for them this afternoon.
Today as well, we have one of our favourite wedding “extras” – the portable evening studio.
People often ask us what it is – is it like a photo booth is the common question ?
Both yes and no is the answer…….
On the evening of your wedding ( or even in the afternoon as we have done numerous times for early weddings ), we will pop up a white backdrop and light it, the same way we would in the studio ( albeit on a much smaller scale obviously ).
We will then physically shoot the images, which means we are able to compose groups properly and interact with the wedding guests to make it a fun experience.
Yes we have a full range of generic props, as well as some themed ones for different times of the year, but in many cases we find guests wanting to come up just to have nice photos taken with their loved ones or friends.
Size wise, we need a space of anything from 6ft to 12ft for the backdrop ( we can expand or contract to fit the space ) and a distance of around 6ft in front. Obviously the larger the backdrop area the more people we can fit into the photos. I think possibly around 20 is the maximum I have seen crammed in there on some occasions….
People then ask us about prints. Yes, we can bring a printer on the evening and print as we go along. For bride and grooms, you can pre pay a bit extra for a print pack so all the guests can have one or we can just charge the guests on the evening ( for print package options follow think LINK and its at the bottom of the page if you open the tab
Alternatively, what we tend to do is issue an additional disk of images to the bride and groom with al the extras on. This can then be shared with your guests on facebook / social media etc. We do also provide a separate viewing link online that can be shared afterwards for guests to purchase additional prints / images if they so wish
Whichever way round, the evening studio is a good fun night for the guests and something a little more interactive than a photobooth – and typically at around half the cost
So looking forward to todays wedding and the first evening studio of the year
