A Year in Review 2018
A Year in Review 2018
Well as another busy year comes to a close we reflect back on 2018
A year that started on the 13th of January over at Solihull Registry Office for the wedding of Michelle and Steven, on a rather cold day I seem to recall
A journey that has taken the team then all over the Midlands, with some of our favourites once again being regulars on the calendar ( Moor Hall, Hadley Park, Tamworth Castle Hotel – to name but a few ).
Half way through the year we were approached by and accepted onto the Bespoke Wedding Supplier list. This is a tailored service covering certain venues only, but this see’s us now have a discounted offering specifically for these venues at prices not available directly through anybody else. This has been a fantastic avenue for us and has seen a flow of leads starting to come through for 2019 and beyond.
June also saw us accepted as the lead supplier to Tamworth Castle Hotel. Again, a tailored package has been launched exclusively for this venue which will take effect from 2019 to tie in with the new literature and website for the castle which is about to be launched any time now. As this is out most local venue, we are delighted to be chosen to work in partnership with them in this manner and hope to see the benefit of this as we go into 2019 and beyond.
In addition to the relationship with Tamworth Castle, our one partner Chantal Lake has accepted a role as the in house photographer for Brook Marston Farm Hotel. This is a fantastic opportunity for her to be part of the wedding team at the venue as an in house offering. In addition she will also be providing other wider photography services to clients as well as being responsible for all the promotional branding work for the hotel group. Please have a look at booking.com for the hotel and you will see her new work showcased. Although she will be focusing on this venue and the others in the group, she will still continue to work as a partner in With This Ring, albeit on a somewhat reduced capacity.
The big change this year though came in December with the decision to move away from our studio relationship with Ariane Photography Studio following their decision to close their unit. It was a difficult decision for them, but a change in circumstances and an offer too good to turn down from their next door neighbour, ultimately drove the decision to move away from the unit. As an interim measure, With This Ring have agreed a deal with the new owners to continue to use the main reception areas for consultation and client meetings generally. This will remain in place until a longer term working arrangement can be put in place. Ariane Photography Studio as a business will continue to operate albeit will be re-branding in the new year, and we will continue the behind the scenes working relationship with them for processing support and the wider service offering.
Having just shot our last wedding of 2018, Mag and Matt down at Warwick house, the cameras are now firmly packed away and will be making their first appearance of the year on January the 19th when we head over to Yew Tree Lodge in Kegworth for the wedding of Sean and Lee.
For now though we bring 2018 to a close and that all our 100+ happy couples this year all the very best as they celebrate their first New Year together as Mr and Mrs.
