POSING GUIDE – Volume 3
Ok, so now you have sorted your body shape out and got your feet and weight in the right position, now its time to focus on the head
With the body positioned in the three quarters stance, the head will naturally have to turn back a little to face the camera. With all the weight on the back foot the pose will naturally look relaxed. It might not feel it, as it won’t feel natural – but trust me – it will look right
To enhance this though, if you tilt the head slightly upwards towards the front shoulder, this create a smoother line. If the head tilts down towards the front shoulder, the chin will drop and the eyes will be given more impact – if you aren’t careful this may look quite aggressive – which is so not a good look for a wedding photo lol
Now your head is sorted – lets focus on your eyes – the “window to your sole”
Eyes – it is vital that we see the whites of your eyes and your pupils in the shot. Care must be given when you are asked to look away from the camera that the pupils are not too far to the left or right and we can see too much white. This can look a bit odd in the end result images

Andrew thank you so much for photographing our wedding last year, we were overjoyed with the end images.
I’ve just been reading some of your hints and tips and really grateful you spent the time to go through them with us in your pre-shoot. Made all the difference on the day and was the source of much amusement for us novice models lol
