As a full time professional photographer its actually quite nice to take some time out over the festive period and remind myself why I really got into this business – taking photos of the kids and family.
This time of the year is always a fun and colourful time with lots of photo opportunities – over the years though I now have to tone down the DSLR usage as my kids run a mile if they see it in hand. With some brilliant little compacts on the market now though, I can still get some great shots without annoying the kids and family
With my new little Sony in hand – I was amazed at the quality of the images and think I will be adding it to the wedding photography kit bag for 2014 – never hurts to have an additional back up and something to grab those candid images on when the guests are not really aware as you’re not in their faces with the big pro lenses. Its also a great little addition to keep in the pocket and catch those shots you’d normally miss ….. the “I wish I had my camera with me” images.
Not sure the little beauty will ever replace my main canon DSLR’s, but a nice little toy to play with non the less
