Wedding Photography Evesham
The third of our weddings around this time last year saw us down in Evesham for the wedding of Sarah and Tom and Dumbleton Hall
Oh my goodness…….is this an imposing venue that looms out at you as you wind yourself around the path to the front of the building
We’d been down there previously to meet the clients and done a pre shoot at the venue, so we’d had plenty of chance to get a feel for what they wanted and chance to suss out the best locations before the main event. Being a bit off patch for us and not a place we had been to before, we always feel this is massively beneficial before the wedding day
On the day itself, we started well with some sunshine ( albeit ridiculously windy ……..) and the first set of photos before the service looked brilliant. We then come out after the service and half way through the wind drives in a horrible storm and the rain comes lashing down sending everybody for cover. Had to be rather creative using the indoor space and some lovely areas under the front canopy of the hotel entrance. Far from ideal with such a wonderful place.
Needless to say we didn’t get what we really wanted on the day and 4 weeks later we go back down to the Hall and recreate the kind of photos they wanted – this time with some sun !!!
We’re off there again tomorrow as the bride and groom celebrate their first anniversary together with an overnight stay. They really like the idea of some refresh photos 1 year on and we are happy to oblige. Could be interesting though looking at this weather……snow has settled in for the day where we are and looks like more is coming later – not sure we are going to be going out and about much in the cold ( especially with sleet forecast for the morning ).
Can somebody please remind the weather that we are supposed to be in spring now…….
Still a lovely day and we wish them both well on this special day for them
